The Grand-Daddy of all S. Fl. Levees!!

If I had to pick the most challenging levee trail in all of south Florida, few would argue 67A is the Grand-Daddy of them all. It's spans through 2 counties, Broward & Miami-Dade and stretches 26 miles straight from asphalt(Everglades Holiday Park) to asphalt(Tamiami Trail/US 41 about 11 miles west of Krome Ave at the ValueJet Memorial). This levee is mostly rough, long, has no shade and can be seen from space!! There is plenty of wildlife to see, like deer, foxes, otters, gators and all sorts of birds. It's not guaranteed, but on such a long expanse in the middle of the Glades, you have a darn good chance, especially if you're looking out for it. This levee will take you to places where you can barely see anything man-made as far as your eyes can see.(Only to the east will you possibly see the Titan Tower in Medley and the Miccossoukee casino/hotel)
In the event you park at Holiday Park and will be doing the "to & back" on 67A, that's 52 miles of the hardest and most sun exposed that you will need to prepare for. This is not a ride for a less-than-seasoned rider. As a matter of fact, I seriously wouldn't recommend it to anyone who couldn't ride a least 100 miles on the road and not need to get checked in to the hospital for recovery! With average speeds of about 10-16 mph, when you include eating and breaks to enjoy your surroundings, you're looking around a 6-7 hour ride.
You could always have someone drop you off in one end & get picked up at the other end, which is still a rear-bouncing 26 miles!
